Abstract
A control scheme based on body gestures for the segway robotics loomo is presented. First the possibilities of Loomos sensors and controlling him through gestures are analyzed. Based on this, a gesture system consisting of static hand positions is created, which enables the user to utilize the robots features. Next, the implementation with Android and usage of OpenCV is described. To test the application, users have been send through a obstacle course to use Loomo. It has been shown that the developed gesture control system enables to successfully interact with a robot.
