Welcome to my new homepage! I’m delighted that you’ve found your way here. This website has just gone live and marks an important turning point in my professional journey – the transition from purely academic research towards a stronger focus on applied work and the practical translation of scientific insights into industry practice.

I’d like to invite you to explore the various sections of this website and discover more about my work, my expertise and my passion for topics such as accessibility, user experience and inclusive design. This website is intended to be a living space – not merely a static portfolio, but a space for dialogue and collaboration.

If you have any thoughts, questions or feedback after exploring the site, I’d be delighted to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch via the contact form, by email or by leaving a comment beneath the posts. Your feedback helps me to refine the website further and to provide relevant content.

Equally, I’d be delighted to connect with you on other platforms – particularly on LinkedIn, where I regularly share current posts and insights. I warmly invite you to follow me there or to connect with me, so that you can stay abreast of the latest developments.

What will you find here?

This website provides a comprehensive overview of my work as a researcher, educator, consultant and problem-solver. You’ll find extensive information here about my professional background, my areas of specialisation and my expertise – particularly in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), digital accessibility, and user-centred design, as well as related fields.

The website simultaneously functions as a portfolio: you’ll gain insights into my past and current projects, research work and practical experience. This gives you a clear picture of where my strengths lie, what challenges I can address and how I create value across different contexts.

This website is designed for various target audiences:

Researchers

Researchers and professionals in the fields of HCI, accessibility and inclusive design will find scientific insights, publications and specialist contributions here that invite exchange and collaboration.

Organisations and businesses

Organisations and businesses that want to design their products and services to be accessible and user-friendly can discover concrete expertise and solutions here – whether through audits, workshops or technical consulting services.

HR professionals and recruiters

HR professionals and recruiters looking for talented specialists with in-depth knowledge of digital accessibility and user-centred design will find comprehensive information here about my network, as well as details of my own qualifications and experience.

Neurodivergent individuals and older generations

Neurodivergent individuals and older generations are particularly close to my heart. If you have questions about accessible design of digital systems specifically for these groups, or if you need support with implementation, I’m here to help.

The curious and interested

The curious and interested – if you’re simply interested in accessibility, inclusive technology and the future of user-centred design, you’ll find current insights, reflections and ideas here.

A particular feature of this website is my blog section Insights, where I regularly publish articles on current developments, interesting publications, media coverage and practice-relevant topics. This enables continuous exchange about the key trends and questions in my fields of expertise.

What has changed?

To give you a clearer understanding of this website’s redevelopment, I’d like to briefly explain how my online presence has evolved over the past few years.

My previous website focused primarily on my academic work and was available exclusively in English. It was first and foremost an academic portfolio that documented my publications, my research and my position as a researcher. Another feature was the publication of my students’ theses, which enabled newcomers to the field to learn from existing work and build upon it.

What has fundamentally changed:

My focus is consciously shifting away from purely academic documentation towards practical value creation. The emphasis is now on translating scientific insights into industry practice, collaborating with organisations and sharing research findings with companies that wish to implement them and benefit from them.

Accordingly, my language focus has also shifted: the website is now primarily in German – an English version is already in progress. This reflects my orientation towards the German-speaking market and local collaboration.

The publication of student work is no longer part of this new website. Instead, I focus on completed projects, proven solutions and concrete examples of my work with businesses and organisations.

This reorientation is also shaped by the establishment of my company W12G Digital GmbH, through which I offer specialised consulting and workshop services. The website will increasingly serve as a showcase for this work.

Stay updated!

The launch of this website is just the beginning. I have already gathered comprehensive information about my background, my current activities and past projects – but the website will continue to grow.

What’s planned:

  • Further links to my company W12G Digital GmbH and the services we offer there
  • Regular Insight articles on current topics, publications and developments in my fields of expertise
  • Gradual expansion of the English language version
  • In-depth explorations and practical case studies from my consulting projects

To stay informed and keep abreast of developments, I recommend:

  1. Visit this website regularly and check back as new content is added.
  2. Follow me on LinkedIn – I share timely updates, thoughts and relevant developments from my areas of work there.
  3. Share feedback – whether via the contact form, email or as a comment beneath the articles. Your perspective helps me to refine the website and my work further.

I hope you enjoy exploring and browsing this website! If you have questions or would like to collaborate, please feel free to get in touch.
